Jury service
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
On the day of your summons, you will arrive to your court complex and be directed to an area with that has been set up to ensure that you have enough space for physical distancing practices. A Court or Sheriff officer will ask you some relevant screening questions and then check your availability to serve.
All of our court rooms and jury spaces have been carefully selected to ensure they meet physical distancing standards. These spaces are regularly cleaned by specialised commercial cleaners to reduce the risk of COVID-19. Hand sanitiser stations will be available.
To enhance physical distancing, public access to the courtroom will be limited so you’ll have room to spread out. Many of the court participants will be appearing by Audio Visual Link (AVL).
Your safety is our priority. We are actively working with NSW Health to ensure we are all able to participate in the justice system in a safe manner.
